Privacy policy

This policy explains what information NurseLock uses, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

Information NurseLock uses

NurseLock creates a random installation identifier and stores onboarding choices, study answers, progress, saved questions, earned-time wallet activity, lock schedules, selected app identifiers, permission telemetry, notification preferences, Expo push tokens, and subscription entitlement status.

Apple and Google process purchases and payment details. NurseLock does not receive or store your full card or bank-account information.

Why it is used

This information operates the study, wallet, notification, subscription, and app-blocking features; restores the anonymous account associated with an installation; prevents duplicate credits; protects the service; and helps diagnose failures.

Service providers

NurseLock uses RevenueCat for subscription status, Apple App Store or Google Play for purchases, Expo for app services and push delivery, and a hosted PostgreSQL service for NurseLock application data. These providers process information only to provide their services and under their own privacy terms.

Device-level app selection

Apple protects selected apps using opaque Screen Time tokens. Android uses identifiers for the apps you choose to block and device permissions needed to enforce your choices. NurseLock does not collect the contents of other apps, messages, passwords, browsing history, or health records.

Retention and deletion

Information is retained while it is needed to provide NurseLock or until you reset your data. The reset control in Settings deletes the server-side anonymous account data and clears the local session. Store transaction history remains subject to Apple, Google, and RevenueCat retention requirements.

Your choices

You may revoke Screen Time, usage-access, overlay, or notification permissions in device settings. You may also disable reminders, reset your NurseLock data, or manage and cancel a subscription through the store account used to buy it.

Children

NurseLock is intended for nursing students and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as NurseLock changes. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
